CatCash is an exclusive debit program designed for UK students and employees that is seamlessly integrated with the WildCard ID, the official identification card for the University of Kentucky. CatCash offers a convenient way to make purchases on and off campus at various locations for buying items such as food, bookstore merchandise, prescription medications, and more. Notably, CatCash provides exclusive access to essential on-campus services such as printing.

Additionally, CatCash extends its convenience to include popular services like Grubhub, allowing users to enjoy the flexibility of ordering food from a wide range of dining options. CatCash funds automatically carry forward semester to semester and year to year. Funds only expire after five years of non-use.

Funds may be deposited in whole dollar amounts at the following locations:

  • Online. Click "Quick Deposit" on the menu bar at the top of this page ($20 minimum deposit, $2 convenience fee); 
  • Or in-person at the following locations during regular business hours: 
    • The CatCash Office in A150 Student Center ($20 minimum deposit, no fee); 
    • Student Account Services in 18 Funkhouser Building ($20 minimum deposit, % fee). 

Online deposits may be made with Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express®, or Discover®. The CatCash Office accepts Cash, Check, Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express® or Discover®. Student Account Services accepts Checks, Apple Pay, Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express® or Discover®. All CatCash funds automatically carry forward semester to semester, and year to year, or may be refunded less a $5 processing fee. Unused funds expire after five years of inactivity.

The CatCash Office is located in suite A150 at the Gatton Student Center and is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but closed for lunch from 1 to 2 p.m. and closed during official university holidays. 

Student Billings is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. but closed during official university holidays.

FAQ

How can I check my balance or view my transactions?

UK Students and Employees can check balances and view transactions by selecting the “Manage Your UK Student/Employee Account” option from the navigation bar at the top of this page. Next, log into your myUK account using your linkblue credentials.  

UK Students: click Student Services, click the Financials Tab, then select Flex, Meals, and CatCash on the left.  

UK Employees: click Employee Self Service, click UK Accounts and Services, and then Flex, Meals, and CatCash.

How long does it take for funds to deposit into my CatCash account in an online transaction?

Funds are available immediately.

What should I do if a merchant overcharges my account?

Please directly contact the merchant that overcharged you. If needed‚ you can print a list of transactions by clicking on the "Manage Your UK Student/Employee Account” option from the navigation bar at the top of this page. Then, log into your myUK account using your linkblue credentials. 

 

Can I use my CatCash to purchase alcohol or tobacco products?

No, you may not use your CatCash to purchase alcohol or tobacco products.

Where can I add funds to the CatCash account?

What if I lose my ID card?

If you lose your UK WildCard, report it immediately to the WildCard UKID Center (859) 257-1378 or the CatCash Office (859) 257-6159 or by deactivating the card online using the "Manage Your Account" feature on the CatCash website. Please Note: To use the "Manage Your UK Student/Employee Account” feature on the CatCash website, please follow the instructions provided under "How can I check my balance or view my transactions?". 

  • Replacement ID cards at UK are $35. 

  • The WildCard UKID Center is located in suite A380 at the Gatton Student Center and is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., and closed during official university holidays.   

  • The CatCash Office is located in A150 at the Gatton Student Center and is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but closed for lunch from 1 to 2 p.m. and closed during official university holidays.
